Strengths: Features, Adds on and very well coding
Weaknesses: a novice may feel difficult to learn about features.
Details: Rich features shopping carts and easily configurable through admin interface. Features can be turned on/off conveniently. Well-written documents. Whether a small shop or complex shop, vp-asp can accommodate. a Strong Plus is built-in affiliate system. I love this , no need to go with 3rd party software. vp-asp is based in Australia, the support is really worth to praise. they are excellent. Really love this cart...

Product is as good as the support

Strengths: support, customization, documentation, popularity, tons of features
Weaknesses: don't know yet
Details: Once you learn the header, trailer and template concepts you can customize any design into an amazing store, capable of pleasing the most demanding customers. Of course the incredibly efficient support makes it even smoother. Note: It is very worth it to buy the option pack, I find myself using almost all its features. Thank you very much this are the best software $300 can buy.

Details: It has been nearly 3 years since I bought vpasp's shopping cart solution. I continue to be shocked by their responsiveness to my support issues. Even after 3 years they are still there to answer my questions and more. My recent request for help was resolved in one day and would have taken me weeks to figure out on my own. It is nice to do business with people who really deliver on their commitments ... especially after the sale. Thanks team. You're the best.

VP-ASP 5 w/ Option Pack Rocks!!

Strengths: Amazing number of features & totally customizable
Weaknesses: Customizing appearance is time consuming, but do-able
Details: WHAT I NEEDED: I'm both a web developer & estore merchant who needed a feature rich e-solution that can be fully customized to create totally unique looking estores. I know enough about ASP to follow the logic & make minor mods, but couldn't write a web app if my life depended on it. I've used MIVA 4 (1 year) as well as StoreFront v2000, v5 & finally v6 (2 years). After testing the free version of VP-ASP, I immediately purchased VP-ASP v5.0 w/ option pack & abandoned StoreFront. VP-ASP blows them all out of the water! WHAT AMAZES ME MOST: It has features that the more expensive StoreFront didn't have. The admin interface & product maintenance is 10x easier than anything I've used before. HAVEN'T FOUND ONE SINGLE BUG YET. Up and running straight out of the box in no time. THE FUN PART: I'm a compulsive tweaker so naturally I had to explore nearly every built-in feature (I think there are around 300 settings) without experiencing a single error. Next I fully customized the appearance of my store by adding my own DHTML menus, header, footer plus left & right panels which I incorporated into templates that make updating the site a snap! Changing the colors of fonts & table bkgd colors was really the only time consuming task as the styles are spread across several files. Finally I wanted to add a custom feature that greets each customer by name after they log in & to provide them a logout button. A simple search of the VP-ASP forum provided the code...for free!!. I used FrontPage 2003 to modify all of the ASP pages (literally dozens of files) with no problems & FP2003's split view & find/replace feature makes customizing so easy. AT LAST, AFTER 3 YEARS OF FRUSTRATION PLUS LOTS OF TIME & MONEY WASTED ON OTHER SOLUTIONS.

Weaknesses: Can be daunting for beginners
Details: VPASP is the best shopping cart choice I could of made. The open source ASP made it 100% customizable for both front end, and back office work. We where able to easily amalgamate QuickBooks and UPS into the VPASP software. The best part of VPASP, is any emails sent to the support staff get answered before the end of the day. In most cases I got answers in 20 min. We have taken vpasp 5 and completely customized it to a high volume working online store
